Who Should Buy Arctis Nova 5X?
Good fit
Choose the Arctis Nova 5X if you want one headset for several listed systems and value quick movement between gaming over 2.4GHz and Bluetooth for calls or media.
Xbox support, the compact USB-C dongle, and on-headset Quick-Switch make that multi-device routine easier to manage.
It also fits players who value long intervals between charges or often have only a brief window to recharge.
The 60-hour battery and fast-charge option are useful on paper, though actual runtime will depend on how the headset is used.
Players who like tuning game audio can explore the preset library, while those who make regular voice chats get a retractable microphone and direct access to mute and ChatMix controls.
Who should skip it
Skip it if your setup does not use the listed platforms or USB-C dongle approach; its appeal depends on those connections fitting your devices and routine.
Look elsewhere if your priority is uninterrupted sessions without relying on a single headset battery; the Nova 5X offers a 60-hour battery and fast charging, but not a stated swappable battery system.
Arctis Nova 5X for Multi-Platform Gaming
Switching between gaming and Bluetooth
The one-tap switch between 2.4GHz gaming and Bluetooth 5.3 is useful for players who keep a phone connected for a call or media while gaming.
Notification beeps can help make incoming calls noticeable without having to keep checking the phone.
Battery and short charging windows
The advertised 60-hour battery is a useful headline for long stretches between charges, and the fast-charge detail makes a short top-up more practical: 15 minutes is specified to provide six hours of use.
Treat these figures as intended use guidance rather than a promise for every volume level or connection pattern.
Game audio presets and microphone
The companion app offers more than 100 presets for games, giving players an option to adjust profiles around particular titles.
The retractable microphone can be tucked away between chats; its chipset specification is useful to know, but does not by itself establish how calls sound in a noisy room or outdoors.

- The Nova Pro Wireless adds active noise cancellation and two hot-swappable batteries, with simultaneous Bluetooth for mixing calls or music into game audio.
- The Nova 5X offers Xbox support and a 60-hour battery, which makes it a straightforward option for Xbox players who want extended use between charges.

Read Amazon ReviewsSteelSeries Arctis Nova 3P Wireless
Consider the Nova 3P if mobile app control, a larger preset count, and a fast charge of up to nine hours from 15 minutes better fit your routine.
The Nova 5X is the better match when Xbox support and its 60-hour battery are priorities.
- The Nova 3P pairs mobile app control with 200+ game presets and a fast-charge feature that provides up to nine hours of playback from 15 minutes; a full charge lasts up to 40 hours.
- The Nova 5X provides a 60-hour battery and includes Xbox among its listed platforms, making it a fit where those two priorities come first.
Is Arctis Nova 5X Worth It?
The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5X is worth considering for multi-platform players who want Xbox support, a long 60-hour battery, quick 2.4GHz-to-Bluetooth switching, and game audio presets.
Its feature mix addresses gaming, calls, and media without requiring separate headsets for each use.
Buy it if those connections and its charging profile suit your habits; pass if your needs center on a different connection setup or uninterrupted play without returning the headset to charge.
The fast-charge option reduces downtime but does not remove the need to recharge the headset itself.
